Special Expertise: I enjoy writing about theoretical and clinical topics. For example, I have completed empirical research and clinical papers on envy as well as papers on patient blocks to progress in treatment. I have presented my work at conferences locally, nationally, and internationally. See: Envy in the Context of Patriarchal Hierarchies in Other/Wise online journal. Supervision/Consultation: As an experienced and compassionate professional, I offer help to other mental health professionals with their clinical cases. Together we can identify your blind spots through discussions, reading, and writing. I find writing a powerful vehicle for expanding clinical knowledge. |

Philosophy:
I have been well trained academically and clinically. During my 30+ years of private practice I have learned that change takes time. Thus, compassion and patience are enduring traits that I bring to each person that comes for help. Together we navigate a path to improve your life, goals, and relationships. Humans are fragile in some ways and very strong in other ways. I am interested in helping each person embrace the fragility and the strengths of their humanness. Everyone feels lost in life from time to time. I offer help to understand those inner blocks that are difficult to see. Then, even harder, I help transform those revelations into practical change. I am experienced in cultural diversity, gay relations, and recovery issues. My fee structure is flexible. |
